Walter H. White, Jr. is the head of the McGuireWoods emerging and frontier markets transactions practice. He has represented clients in multibillion-dollar business transactions, arbitration and litigation on a global basis. In the late 1980’s he served as Commissioner of Securities for the State of Wisconsin. Walter also served as Chair of the Board of the Central Asian American Enterprise Fund appointed by President William J. Clinton. Walter has been designated as a member of the Panel of Recognized International Market Experts (PRIME) in the Hague Netherlands and has served for more than two decades as a non-executive director of Church Mutual Insurance Company. Walter has also served as Chair of the American Bar Association Center for Human Rights, Chair of the Civil Rights and Social Justice Section and on the ABA Board of Governors. Walter is an active Democrat and has been a strong supporter of President Obama.
