This function covers client and regulatory data, and the associated support systems. Rob is a member of Barings’ Operations Leadership Team and sits on the firm’s Client Asset Oversight Working Group. She is also Chairperson of the UK Investment Association’s Trade and Transaction Reporting Committee and has written on guideline management and operational risk in industry journals. Prior to joining Barings, Rob led a London-based fiduciary risk management team for Citigroup. Rob has a MBA, holds a professional corporate charter and the Investment Management Certificate.
She is passionate about student mentoring within the community, believing that students can be inspired to achieve more after experiencing first-hand the many possibilities from working hard in an asset management firm like Barings. In 2007 Rob co-founded Barings’ See the Possibilities student programme, which is designed to mentor and motivate college and university students to realise their full potential. The programme has generated positive feedback from hundreds of students in the UK and continental Europe and Rob is now rolling it out to Asia and North America. In 2015 she created the ‘Be Positive’ mentoring programme to help female professionals aged 25-35 years old to enhance their organisational profile and navigate the corporate ladder in the most effective way. Many participants in this programme have changed their behaviour and realised better outcomes in their workplace.
